The Thai-French
Innovation Institute (TFII) has been initiated by the King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok
(KMUTNB) in collaboration with the French Federation
of Mechanical Engineering Industries (FIM), France DIDAC
and thirteen French companies.
The foundation stone
of the TFII was laid on October 2, 1990 by HRH Princess
Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who also presided over the
official opening of the Center on June 5, 1992.
Since its establishment,
the TFII has progressively stood out as the major
tool for the scientific and technical bilateral cooperation
between Thailand and France.
